We are so excited to host an exhibition of work by Chris Dineen (his first exhibition..!), here's a little bit more about the local artist...

Born in Streatham, London in 1962, Chris relocated to North Wales with his family in 1999. Chris has always been drawn to the mountains and the stunning coastline of North Wales, and from an artistic stand point it is a truly inspiring place. He never gets bored of the landscape, the sea, and the big skies. Chris owns a Hairdressing Shop in Pwllheli and is a well-known stylist in the area! Very few know about his talent for drawing in his spare time. During the lock period he went looking for his colored pencils and pastels and got back to his artwork. He says that the whole process is very therapeutic for him and a way to calm his mind and lose himself completely. For Chris hairdressing is also an art, it's all about balance and form. From the mountains of Snowdonia to the Penllyn coast, there is something for everyone.

Rydym yn hynod o gyffrous i arddangos gwaith arbennig Chris Dineen yma yn Lle Art (ei arddangosfa cyntaf...!), dyma chydig am dano...

Ganwyd Chris yn Streatham, Llundain yn 1962, ac fe symudodd i Ogledd Cymru gyda'i deulu yn 1999. Mae Chris wedi cael ei dynnu tuag at fynyddoedd ac arfordir godidog Gogledd Cymru erioed, ac o safbwynt artistig yn dweud ei fod yn le gwirioneddol ysbrydoledig. Mae'n berchen ar Siop Trin Gwallt ym Mhwllheli, ag yn steilydd adnabyddus yn yr ardal! Chydig sy'n gwybod am ei ddawn o arlunio yn ei amser sbar. Yn ystod y cyfnod clo aeth i chwilio am ei bensiliau Iliw a'i pasteli ac ail gydio yn ei waith celf. Dywedai bod yr holl broses yn therapiwtig iawn iddo ac yn ffordd i dawelu ei feddwl ag yngolli'n Ilwyr. I Chris mae trin gwallt hefyd yn gelfyddyd, a wnelo'r cyfan â chydbwysedd a ffurf. O mynyddoedd Eryri i arfordir Penllyn, mae rhywbeth i bawb.
